Chances are over the holidays you went to a party and saw these delicious little treats, in some form or another. I went to a family party and one family member made these treats with pretzels, Hershey kisses, and M&M’s. I decided I needed more caramel in my life and I really love pecans (even though they are becoming pricey!). Although these treats seem more holidayish… they could pass for a great Superbowl treat/munchies. So here we go, I promise it’s simple and so easy, just be patient at the end and really let the treat develop!
Square pretzels – They need to be square or you will have some serious chocolate melting.
Rolo’s – I got these on sale because they were wrapped in Christmas colors so it made the recipe that much better!
Pecan Halves – Do not get crushed pecans they need to have a shape to them.
Start by preheating the oven to 350 Degrees F. and lay the parchment paper over a baking sheet. Once the pretzels have been laid out you can place the unwrapped rolo’s on top of the pretzels. After those are complete and the tray is full place the tray in the oven for NO MORE than 5 Minutes. This ensures the chocolate is in a melting stage but not fully melted to the point of messy.
Once the chocolate is in the melting stage and has been taken out of the oven grab the pecans place in the center of the Rolo’s.
After the tray is complete let the rolo’s harden and cool. This will be amazing once they have harden but you MUST be patient!
